Origins of The Scheme
The Crossroads organisation began in Rugby in 1974 in response to an episode of the popular soap opera "Crossroads" which featured a character who was severely disabled -
Crossroads South Essex is an independent local charity and a company limited by guarantee. Although the Scheme is a Network Partner of the Carers Trust, we receive no funding from them and are entirely responsible for our own finances.
