Policies

Quality Standards

The quality of our service, practices and processes are measured against a set of quality standards developed by the Crossroads Association known as CROQUET (Crossroads Quality Evaluation Tool). CROQUET covers the areas of governance, finance, services, people and quality and is used by auditors from the Crossroads Association to carry out a regular audit of our Scheme. The Crossroads Association is one of only six umbrella bodies in the UK who have achieved recognition of their quality assurance system from the Charity Commission. We are delighted that improvements to the Scheme have led to the auditors increasing our rating from Level 1 to Level 2. We are now working towards achieving Level 3, the highest rating, at the next audit.

In addition to Crossroads' internal quality assurance programme we will also adhere to the standards for domiciliary care produced by the National Care Standards Commission, the Kings Fund Quality Standards for Local Carer Support Services, and the General Social Care Council's Code of Conduct for Social Care Workers and Employers of Social Care Workers. Please ask the Scheme Manager if you would like information on how to access these documents.

We also carry out an annual satisfaction survey of all those who use our services. The results of the survey are used to improve the quality of the Scheme, and are made available to all service users and their representatives, stakeholders and to the Care Quality Commission.
